Job Description
We’re looking for a proactive and customer-focused Junior IT Support Engineer to join our IT team on a 12-month fixed term contract. If you’re passionate about helping people, solving technical problems, and growing your IT career, this is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience across a wide range of technologies.
About the Role
As a Junior IT Support Engineer, you’ll be the first point of contact for technical support across the organisation. You’ll provide assistance, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, manage user accounts and access, and help ensure smooth operation of our devices, applications and core IT services. You’ll also assist with system checks, documentation, and occasional IT projects.
Service Desk & User Support
Provide first-level support, logging and prioritising tickets across phone, email, and in person.
Troubleshoot common Windows/M365, hardware, and network issues, escalating when required.
End User Device Management
Deploy, configure and maintain laptops, desktops, mobiles and tablets.
Perform basic hardware fixes and maintain accurate asset records.
Accounts, Access & Security
Create and manage user accounts and access across AD/Entra ID and M365.
Support password resets, MFA setup and general security practices.
Systems & Administration Support
Assist with routine system checks, software installs and licence management.
Support meeting room technology and AV setups.
Documentation & Continuous Improvement
Maintain accurate ticketing records and update IT documentation.
Identify recurring issues and contribute to process improvements.
Other Responsibilities
Assist with IT projects, office moves and general IT tasks as required.
What We’re Looking For
1–2 years’ IT support experience, with solid troubleshooting skills and knowledge of Windows, M365, AD/Entra ID and basic networking.
Strong communication, customer service and organisational skills, with a willingness to learn and grow.
Experience with ticketing systems, Intune/MDM, remote support tools or ITIL practices is a bonus.
IT-related qualification (or equivalent experience), with Microsoft Fundamentals/ITIL Foundation desirable.
Friendly, reliable team player who is detail-oriented and handles confidential information appropriately.
Contract Details
12-month fixed term contract
Full-time, 38 hours per week
Based at Horningsea Park, with occasional travel
Six-month probation period
Salary based on experience
