Job Description

About the Role

Reporting to the GM – People & Culture, you’ll be the key HR contact across our QLD sites. Located in our Darra branch, drive operational excellence and aligning HR strategies with business goals. You will provide expert advice and hands-on support across employee relations, performance management, workforce planning, onboarding, safety, and more.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide timely and effective HR advice to management and employees

  • Lead and resolve employee relations matters including grievances and investigations

  • Interpret awards and industrial instruments, ensuring compliance across the business

  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and succession planning activities

  • Partner with managers to deliver performance management and development initiatives

  • Drive employee engagement, WHS practices, and compliance with RIPPA values

  • Coordinate remuneration reviews and benchmarking processes

  • Maintain HRIS accuracy and personnel records

  • Support the rollout of national HR systems and initiatives

  • Travel regularly between Emerald, Rockhampton, and Mackay

What We’re Looking For

  • Tertiary qualification in Human Resources or related field

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar HR role, preferably in a comparable industry

  • Strong understanding of employment law, awards, and WHS legislation

  • Proven experience handling complex employee relations and investigations

  • High-level written and verbal communication skills

  • Confident in using HRIS and data to drive decisions

  • A collaborative mindset and a passion for helping people and businesses thrive

  • Ability to travel regularly across multiple sites
