While reporting to the Logistics Manager, the Part-Time Logistics Coordinator will manage international shipments, ensure timely and accurate invoice processing, and maintain effective communication with vendors, and internal & external teams. This role requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Role/Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with carriers and manage international shipments, including booking Import/Export cargo, preparing shipping reports, and tracking shipments.
- Ensure compliance with international shipping regulations and customs requirements.
- Maintain shipment data through ERP data entry, consignment receipting and accurate record keeping of shipment related documentation.
- Prepare and process freight invoices for international shipments accurately and in a timely manner.
- Review and resolve any issues relating to inbound/outbound logistics activities in a timely manner and ensure any potential shipping delays are communicated.
- Collaborate with internal teams including procurement, sales and finance to ensure seamless operations.
- Assist in developing and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in logistics operations.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Logistics Manager.
Skills and Requirements / Qualifications:
- Diploma or equivalent; logistics management, or a related field is preferred.
- Previous experience in logistics coordination, international shipping, and invoicing is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of international shipping regulations and customs requirements.
- Intermediate to Advance level in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work part-time hours, with the potential for occasional extended hours during peak periods.
